All Saved Freak Band

When I was younger God took me from the city,
He led me by the hand.
He took me to the country where everything is pretty
and taught me by a man.
He told me, "You better leave the city, better get
quick
You know that fallout's gonna make you sick!"
When God Almighty burns the cities down
people will be running for miles around
As Sodom and Gomorrah came down in dust
so the cities of America surely must
When God Almighty burns the cities down.

Remember Lot? He had a wife
She just couldn't give up the city life.
Didn't want to give up the things she had,
She didn't think that the city of sin was so bad.
So she turned around once to look for a spell
God condemned her soul to hell, He said,
"Two will be sleeping in a single bed one will be
taken, one left for dead.
As Sodom and Gomorrah came into dust
so the cities of America surely must
When God Almighty burns the cities down

"If I can't get to your body I'll get to your mind.
I'll think of some way to leave you behind.
One day I'll leave you wallowin' in the ditch,
in the meantime I'll use you to get off my kicks."

When the vulture gobbles up what's left by the dove
And we say we did it all in the name of love
And you crawl out from your small narrow crack,
Screamin' "Forgive me, baby, some way I'll make up the
slack!"
While a foreign spy's gun points at your back!

Realized I got too far behind. A speedin' bullet tore
open my spine.
My fadin', dyin' eyes asked for a sign
I couldn't understand it, it was really too much
I saw movin' toward me a white, rattlin' crutch.
