When we think about the world
Do we think of places that are far away
We’re here today
And searching for the courage to be who we say

And there’s a boy
She stands beside her father
And he’s wondering
Where’s the girl?
She’s looking for the games he used to play

What do I mean to me?
Am I a mystery?
Or is the answer to my question what I find in others?
Who are sisters? who are brothers?
What will it take for us to see…

That we’re all women and men

The same needs- the same wants
For love – for joy
What are these differences that cloud the way we see?
When I see you, do I see me?

When we try to understand
Do we look deeper than our skin and bone?
We’re all alone, but someone still a part of the unknown

There are so many faces -
So many different roads and homes
So many lives inside so welcome to the world
Will we have lived before we’ve died?
