Imprisoned Freedom

Bedhead Badhead

My goddess is cold
She forgot about me when I got old
And never came back
Now inside I can't see the colors that I used to have
I search for handouts in other sources
Dishonest sources that corrupt me to the bone
Now I'm prone to fall
I feel the lightness swaying backwards and fowards
While I stand still
My light is faded, her scent is missing
In the dark we face the crowd

Head stoned by the sunlight
Find the way back leaning on my own spine
Where's she now that I've drowned
With wine pouring out and suffocating my dry mouth

I've been dominated by fear
And now I'm stuck and corroded in this same old place
Yeah I asked to leave
But my pleadings and prayers are never heard or praised
Comfortably I have to be someone else
Someone confined to imprisoned freedom
I need the ropes to fade
I smell midnights sitting in my porch
Missing her laugh on my chest
I wait for the thunder to meet the storm
While I lay down to rest

Head stoned by the sunlight
Find the way back leaning on my own spine
Where's she now that I've drowned
With wine pouring out and suffocating my dry mouth

Compositores: Giovanna Bergamaschi, Jay Whitaker
