Who we are and what we've been is written in an intricate code
The chemistry of personality forms the ancient law to which we're forced to bow

Dopamine, rule me and make me live
Serotonin, hold me and enforce the rules

Rules encoded in our DNA, the guideline of behavior
Is nature or nurture the main influence to who we are?

Come guide me! Come rule me! Enforce the I inside!
No nurture can change me, for I am written in my Self Script

I wonder if these genetic rules determine our pain
Or is this caused by a virus, which ignites our viral flames?
