David Gilmour liberou mais um single de seus aguardado novo álbum. O guitarrista do Pink Floyd escolheu mostrar aos fãs "Between Two Points", cantada por Romany Gilmour, sua filha. Gabriel, o outro filho do músico, também está na gravação fazendo vocais de fundo.

A faixa é um original da dupla de indie pop Montgolfier Brothers, surgida no final dos anos 90 e que chegou ao fim definitivo em 2020, com a morte do baterista Roger Quigley. Gilmour era fã da canção de 2005 e dizia acreditar que se tratava de uma música bastante conhecida, o que está longe de ser verdade - no Spotify ela tem pouco mais de 26 mil audições, e não é sequer a canção mais ouvida do duo na plataforma.

"Between Two Points (With Romany Gilmour)" sai depois de "The Piper's Call", o single que marcou o anúncio de "Luck and Strange" há alguns meses e que será apenas o sexto álbum solo do músico, contando "Metallic Spheres", gravado com a dupla de tecno The Orb. O disco sai em 6 de setembro e será acompanhado por uma turnê mundial.
