Days I'm Confused

Operandus Modi

Days I'm confused

I’m lost in the airport whirl
Cold and damp, I’ve got no girl
And now I’m in another world
Home again

For days I’m confused
I can’t find my way
The time zone is wrong
I don’t feel “okay”

I’m sick of this country
I’ve been here for hours
Everything is going wrong
Everyone’s sweet and sour

What’s wrong with everyone?
What has the world become?
Things are not what they used to be
Country’s gone to dogs
Spoiled by packs of thugs
Open your eyes
Can’t you see?

For days I’m confused
I can’t find my way
The time zone is wrong
I’m not here to stay

Where is all the pride?
Looks like it got left behind
Now it’s grab and run
“Just wanna have some fun”
“I’m getting dumber but the world is ‘funner’”
“This place is a big mistake”

Can’t turn back the clock
To find a time with peace of mind
But this is such a shock
A shame
But who’s to blame?

Now look around at stares
Coming from this world of theirs
Well they can have it
I, for one, want to go
And let them stew
Find something new

And I’m confused
That day is night
My world’s not right

Days I’m confused
I find a way
Catch a plane to you
Tomorrow becomes today
Days I’m confused
Tomorrow becomes today

The country I love is gone
The country I love is gone
The world I knew is gone
I can’t feel
Tomorrow becomes today
Tomorrow becomes today
