Bali Eyes (cifrada)
This song has very light but soothing guitar. The solo imparticularly is
simple but leaves plently of room to improvise. Well, here it is as I've
been playing it. . .
Peter DiStefano plays this song capoed at the third fret. This
transcription is written as if the notes at the third fret are opened.
For example, a G on the third fret of the high E-string will be tabbed
as "0" and a G# as "1", etc. . .
Intro/main riff:
e>----------------------0---0-------------------------------------------|
b>-----0---0-0-0--0-0-0-0-4-0-----0---0---0---0-----0-0-0---------------|

Verse:
The verse of this song is a slight variant off of the main riff. It
follows the vocal line pretty tightly. I usually play a normal G as in
the main riff strumming down lightly and I then follow the vocal line as
Perry sings from G to Gb to G, again as the guitar does in the main riff.
Chorus:
A#
Their Eyes are God
G C
In a glass full of jelly
G A#
Bali in my eyes.
Solo:
e>---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
b>---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
g>---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
d>-6-7-6-7-6-9--7-6-7--6-----6-7-6-7-6-9-------------------------------------|
a>-----------------------7---------------------------------------------------|
E>---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
repeat once then:
p p p p
e>-7-5-4--12-11-9-7----7-5-4-----------------------------------------7-5-4-5-|
b>---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
g>---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
d>------------------------------2-4-2-2-2-5-2-2-2-4-2-2-2-5-2-2--------------|
a>---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E>---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
e>-7-9-9-7-----------------------------3-------------------------------------|
b>-----------0-3-2-0-3-2-0-7-5-3-------3-------------------------------------|
g>-------------------------------------0-------------------------------------|
d>-------------------------------------0-------------------------------------|
a>-------------------------------------2-------------------------------------|
E>-------------------------------------3-------------------------------------|
The A# at the end of the solo is the first chord in the chorus. As I said
earlier, the guitar is simple and somewhat subdued in the background of the
song. But it is quite melodic and leaves a lot opened to individual
interpretation. I hope this came out well. If I screwed up on any of the
numbering, by all means write me and I will correct it. I think it did come
out accurate though. Anyway, enjoy it. . .
