When Moses came down from the mountain, he smiled as bright as the sun. There's only ten little rules accountin' for a whole damn world of wrong. Well, one of those rules is easy. Keep your eyes and hands to yourself. Well, Moses must have never been in love with someone who belonged to someone else.
So God, I hate you and your boyfriend, too. He doesn't even know what to do with you. I tried to play my hand, but it's just no use. I feel locked out of my own damn house.
Now, I'm not one for homewreck. In fact I know first hand, There's no bigger threat than a kiss to the neck and another lover's plans. But, I had this dream I was with you, it was the best it's ever been. You kissed my hands, I let my fingers dance across your alabaster skin.
So God, I hate you and your boyfriend, too. I hate it that he gets to put his hands on you. Tried to get my courage up and tell the truth, But my words got caught on my tangled thoughts.
When Moses got a ride to heaven, he confessed before he left His love for a beautiful woman who slept in someone else's bed. And he screamed from his seat by Jesus, "I wanted more than mine. So trust me on this, you should go for it, 'cause you're all on borrowed time."
So God, I love you. You should know the truth. He doesn't even treat you like you want him to. At least I got to say it, so there's no excuse. If you want me to, I'll make the first damn move.
