I'm traveling fast, hit the nines, then I slow it down

I think of you and I almost turn around

Too far to quit, it's been three days now

I stopped for gas, there's a Chevy in the parking lot

It looks like yours and almost hurts my heart

I let it go, let it go, let it off my mind

I put my shades on

Roll the windows down

I turn the radio on

And I crank it loud

I'm headed south, and I'm bound

For something new

I'm getting over you

I hit the breaks, call it quits once again

I never thought we'd do this, man, I'm such a mess

And memories are all I see in my rearview

I'm changing my life while I'm changing lanes

I wipe my eyes and the windshield from all the rain

But up ahead I can see the light of day

I put my shades on

Roll the windows down

I turn the radio on

And I crank it loud

I'm headed south, and I'm bound

For something new

I'm getting over you

I put my shades on

Roll the windows down

I turn the radio on

And I crank it loud

I'm headed south, and I'm bound

For something new

Getting over you

I'm traveling fast, hit the nines, then I slow it down

I think of you and I almost turn around
