As luck would have it we were put

Right through the wringer recently

Which took a decent piece of me

I know that in all likelihood

That it's most likely gone for good

And I for one am good with that

So currently that's where we're at

Let's just leave well enough alone for now

We couldn't have but should have known

I wonder what's it all about
